TRT TATTI™ Nigeria 2026: Country Assessment on Trust Deficits, Institutional Delivery & Transformation Risk
25 Sept 2026
The TRT Africa Trust & Transformation Index™ (TATTI™) Nigeria 2026 Country Assessment measures Nigeria’s trust-deficit exposure, institutional delivery capacity and transformation risks. Nigeria records a TATTI™ composite score of 68.7, placing the country in the High trust-deficit exposure band. The assessment identifies peace and security, public service delivery, social cohesion and rule of law as the most significant areas of exposure, while highlighting a measurable divergence between improving macroeconomic credibility and citizens’ lived experience.
The TRT Africa Trust & Transformation Index™ (TATTI™) Nigeria 2026 Country Assessment provides an independent assessment of Nigeria’s trust environment, institutional delivery capacity and transformation risks.
Nigeria records a TATTI™ composite score of 68.7, placing the country in the High trust-deficit exposure band. The assessment finds that the country’s strongest trust asset in 2026 is improving macroeconomic credibility, while significant deficits persist across citizens’ lived experience.
The highest exposure is recorded in Peace, Security & Social Stability (84 — Critical), followed by Public Service Delivery & State Capacity (72), Social Cohesion, Inclusion & Citizen Confidence (71) and Justice, Rule of Law & Institutional Integrity (70).
The assessment also records a Trust Restoration Capacity Score™ of 45.9 and a Transformation Delivery Gap™ of 67.6, indicating that institutional reform capacity exists but that implementation, transparency and verifiable delivery remain important constraints.
TATTI™ identifies 22 Trust Early-Warning Indicators covering food-price pressures, insecurity, fiscal delivery, electricity reliability, electoral integrity, information and digital trust, accountability and youth confidence.
The assessment establishes Nigeria’s 2026 baseline TATTI™ measurement and provides a forward-looking risk and trust outlook through December 2028. It recommends quarterly monitoring of the early-warning indicators and a full TATTI™ re-score after the May 2027 inauguration.
